I currently direct a cross-disciplinary team of strategists, designers, researchers and developers responsible for the creation and operationalization of the Visual Design Language (VDL), the company's design system. This includes the establishment of robust documentation for best practices/patterns, tapping the collective wisdom of the ADP community to further evolve the system and supplying teams with design assets, software and front-end code to help promote adoption.

As the principal designer for this B2C legal resource, I lead the team responsible for user research and UX. This included a comprehensive redesign of the site that focused on research-validated IA, usability and visual design updates with the goal of increasing conversions. As a result, Laywers.com saw a 19% growth in desktop traffic and a 112% increase in traffic on mobile within one year of launch.

Competitive Essentials

LEAD MANAGEMENT iOS/ANDROID APPS

LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell

I coordinated the designing of a series of B2B iOS/Android apps that aided lawyers with managing leads generated from Lawyers.com. This included the iPad app, Competitive Essentials and a companion iPhone/Android app called Lead Alert. Working closely with a team of visual designers, researchers and developers, I drove the overall UX strategy while maintain strict adherance to Apple's Human Interface Guidelines.

For this project, I assumed the role of product manager and designer - writing the business and functional requirements, in addition to the designing of the interface and the formulation of the overall UX strategy. These specifications proved mission critical to the offshore development teams that implemented the site. I was also responsible for the HTML/CSS implementation.

I conducted a UX heuristic evalution of myidentifiers.com's key functional areas. This leveraged published research data, industry-accepted usability principles, prior design experience and historic usability test results to identify usability issues and recommend improvements. Results were presented in a 30 page report that included wireframes.

As an interface designer, I was responsible for the design of the overall web framework and building of UX patterns to facilitate the creation of the various portlets that populated the core interface. As Thomson One was a cross-functional application, I had an opportunity to design a number of customized solutions for the investment banking, wealth management, research and venture capital businesses. In addition, I was also responsibile for the production-level HTML/CSS code used in the portlets' implementation.
